【万圣节五年级英语作文范文（作文750字）】Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. It is on October 31st every year. On this day, people dress up in costumes and go to their neighbors' houses to ask for candy. This is called "trick or treat." I always look forward to this day because it is very fun and exciting.

This year, I dressed up as a witch. I wore a black hat and a long black dress. My friend Lily dressed as a ghost, and she looked very scary. We went to our neighbors’ houses together. When we knocked on the door, the people inside would say, “Trick or treat!” Then they gave us candies or small toys.

I also made a pumpkin lantern with my mom. We carved a face on the pumpkin and put a candle inside. The light from the candle made the face look very spooky. My brother was a little scared when he saw it at first, but then he laughed and said it was cool.

In the evening, there was a Halloween party at school. All the students wore different costumes. Some were superheroes, some were animals, and others were famous characters from movies. We played games, sang songs, and had a lot of fun. I even won a prize for the best costume!

Halloween is not only about dressing up and getting candy. It is also a time to have fun with friends and family. I love the atmosphere of Halloween. It makes me feel excited and happy. I hope that next year I can come up with an even more creative costume.
